This may seem like a dumb question. With the way miracles work, what's the point of a spellbook, as seen in the equipment section.
Is it possible to learn additional spells? Is it there for purposes of serving the fiction, rather than a mechanic?
I'm intrigued.
I was thinking that a traditional spellbook would be useful when dealing with magic, outside of the scope of miracles. Another tool in the bag of holding, like a crowbar or 10 foot pole.
Am I looking at it the right way?
