An idle question arose while I was rereading Chapter I today: has anyone run a Strong or Wise without a vocation?

An idle question arose while I was rereading Chapter I today: has anyone run a Strong or Wise without a vocation? (Defts must choose a vocation at 1st level, but the other clases aren't required to.)

In particular I suppose I'm interested in what happens to a Wise without a vocation. How does this effect rulings on miracles, which are based on vocation and miracle wording?
